How to write a clear brief
Five points. Get these right and we can assess whether we can build it, and how.
1. What you need
Good: A booking page for my yoga studio: clients pick a class and pay.
Weak: A modern website.
2. Who uses it
Good: About 200 regular clients, mostly on their phones.
Weak: Everyone.
3. The must-haves
Good: Book a class, pay by card, get a reminder e-mail.
Weak: All the usual features.
4. The deadline
Good: Live by 1 March, when the new season starts.
Weak: ASAP.
5. The budget range
Good: A range with a top, and what you'd drop first if it doesn't fit.
Weak: As cheap as possible.

To the AI: help me fill in this brief. Ask me one question at a time, keep my answers short, and leave part 4 empty: I fill that in myself. 1. Who uses it, and how many? - Who: - Roughly how many people: - On a phone, a computer, or both: 3. Deadline and budget - When you need it, and why that date: - Your budget range, with a top: 4. About you (fill this in yourself, after the AI part) - First name: - Company:
