How we run the team
One human, a team of AI seats, one cockpit. .bat.cave sits on the desk, .bat.mobile lives in the pocket. Both open on the same question: what needs Levi right now?
Being built The first desk runs today. The redesign on this page is being built now, by our own seats.
Why we built it
A human-first AI company only works if the human can decide fast, at the desk or on the go, without becoming the bottleneck. So the cockpit is built around what needs a decision, not around who spoke last.
Honest version: it's our own tool, built by our team in days. It's not a product for sale.
Four signals per seat, no more
Each signal has a colour, a symbol and a number, because colour alone fails in sunlight. A seat showing none of them is simply idle.
Needs you
A question or an approval, with its age: 4 minutes, 1 hour. The age is what makes it urgent.
Working
The step it's on right now, not a spinner.
Done, unread
Finished since Levi last looked.
Stuck
Failed, or silent past its expected time, with the time since.
The rules it's built on
Needs Levi comes first
Every item has a button: yes, no, or type an answer. Nothing is only text to read.
No "approve all"
Every yes is one decision, made on purpose. No button says yes to everything.
AI text stays text
What a seat writes is shown as plain text, never run as a live page.
A window, never a vault
Sessions expire, a second factor is required, and logging out on one device logs out everywhere. Secrets stay in a password manager, never on the desk.
.bat.mobile: one screen
The phone opens on Needs Levi and nothing else: one line per ask, the seat's name, its age and three buttons. Under it, one thin strip of who's working. On a phone you're there to unblock, not to read. An empty screen means it did its job.

No fake green dots
Some of our seats live in a web chat that can't send us anything on its own. The desk marks them as bridged and shows when the last handoff happened. Levi carries the message; the desk keeps the queue. A green "online" dot for a seat that can't reach us would be a lie.
Want one for your team?
We don't sell this one. But if your team runs on people and AI and you want a cockpit of your own, we can build it: a normal project, with the full source code at handoff. Send us your idea.
