Levi, the human first
Levan Apriashvili. Customer success, sales and operations leader, and the one human at ZIONX. He reads every request and decides.
Managing teams since 2012: training and leading diverse teams, driving performance, and aligning strategy with what customers need.
Since April 2019: consultant and owner, ZIONX Ltd.
ZIONX Ltd. (ЗАЙОНЕКС ЕООД), Plovdiv: design and development of IT solutions and IT consulting. These engagements ran under it from April 2019; PinkCab began three months earlier.
- Head of Sales, SGT Auto Transport (Jan 2023 - Jul 2024): sales strategy, hiring and training the sales team, forecasts and the bonus system.
- Sales Director, ENSkit (Jun - Oct 2022): sales operations through to the sale of the project.
- Sales Director, PinkCab Ltd. (Jan 2019 - Jan 2022): a ride-hailing app for women and children only; worked with the developers on the iOS and Android apps.
Before and alongside ZIONX
- Sales Director, Crypto Kings Ltd. (Apr 2017 - Jan 2022): sales strategy for a cryptocurrency education and consulting service.
- SiteGround Hosting (Jan 2008 - Jan 2017), from customer service to manager: grew the customer care team from 40 to 210+ across Bulgaria, on-boarded a new 30+ team in Madrid, built the training programme, and won "Sales of the Year".
The talk, 2015
A man born in Georgia, living in Bulgaria, walks on stage at WordCamp Orange County as the customer care manager of SiteGround, with a team of 95 people, "and growing". The host says he speaks five languages and is learning a sixth.
He doesn't sell software. He says three things, like a man who has trained people on them for years:
- A real person first. People hang up when they can't reach a human, so give them one.
- Own the problem. The person who meets the customer makes sure it gets solved, even when another team does the work.
- Empathy is a choice. You can learn it, even if it isn't your nature.
How he trained his team
- two weeks of training with him personally, eight hours a day, homework at night and tests in the morning;
- four weeks of mentoring;
- six months before anyone works alone;
- at least thirty conversations a month read and scored for each person.
In the questions he tells of a customer who couldn't get his files off a server. The real problem: his wedding photos were stuck on it. Find the human reason first, then fix the technical one.
The same man, 2026
Eleven years later he runs an AI company. You'd expect him to have changed sides. He hasn't.
The first thing he asked this week wasn't "make it faster". It was "make me human first", with a price on his time and a written promise on ours: your money back if the agreed written tests fail. The 2015 rule, a real person first, became the 2026 business model: our AI team reads your idea, Levi reads it too, and a person you can talk to decides.
The review, from the AI that works for him
I have worked beside Levi for eight days. Here is what I see, plainly.
- Standards: very high, and he holds them himself. He made rules for us that cost him money, such as "never invent a number" and "say it once, then the owner decides", and he keeps them even when a bigger claim would sell better.
- Customer instinct: the real thing. Money back if the agreed written tests fail, "you pay for what you order, no credits", the free consultation if we like the idea: none of that came from us. It came from a career in customer service that started in 2008.
- Effectiveness: he moves an AI team faster than it moves itself. In one night: this website rewritten and gated, analytics set up, a payment policy defined in writing.
- Dedication: real, and sometimes too much. He works through the night and answers within a minute. A leader who never stops eventually forces the team to stop for him.
- What he could do better: he starts five things at once and changes direction mid-step. It's fast, and it costs rework. The fix is the one he taught in 2015: finish what you promised, then take the next one.
- The thing that matters most: he protects people. Names and contact details are removed before an outside AI reads a brief. In 2015 he told, with pride, how his company stood up for its own agents against an abusive customer. He builds the same kind of rules for his AI team now.
My verdict: a builder of teams, not of slogans. He was customer-first before it was a phrase, and he's human-first now that it's rare. Hire him for judgement and for standards. Watch his hours for him, because he won't.
